Installation Videos

Installation videos for lighting fixtures

Installation videos that walk contractors through mounting, wiring, and finishing your fixtures, and give design teams a clear reference to communicate from.

Why it matters

Contractor guesswork becomes support calls, RFIs, and callbacks. Every question answered on screen is a call you never take and an RFI that never lands on your rep's desk.

What you get

  • Step-by-step installation sequences for each mounting type
  • Rough-in, wiring, and trim details shown clearly
  • Videos ready for your website and product pages
  • Clips your reps and designers can share with the project team

How the process works

  1. 01

    Kickoff and fixture review

We start with the fixture, the mounting condition, and the questions your support team already answers by email. If one install type generates callbacks, that is the one we plan around.

  2. 02

    Script and shot plan

We write the sequence in the order a contractor works: rough-in, wiring, mounting, trim. Your team reviews the script before anything is booked, so the steps match how the product actually goes together.

  3. 03

    Filming or 3D build

Depending on the fixture, we film the install on set or build it in 3D where a camera cannot reach. Cutaways show driver locations and wire paths when those are the details installers get stuck on.

  4. 04

    Delivery and cutdowns

You get the full-length video, short clips for product pages and rep decks, and captions and on-screen labels that keep every step readable with the sound off.

What we need from your team

  • The fixture, or a sample build, with the mounting accessories that ship with it
  • Installation instructions and spec sheets, including wiring diagrams
  • CAD or Revit models, plus finish and material information
  • A named reviewer on your side for the script and the final cut
  • The support questions you answer most often, so we answer them on screen

Typical turnaround

Videos are scheduled against your launch date, not the other way around. Scope drives the schedule: a single mounting type moves faster than a family with several trim options. At kickoff we agree a delivery date, flag what could move it, and hold a review window for your team so the final cut does not sit waiting for sign-off.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need to film at our facility?
Usually for part of the shoot, because the install has to be physically performed. If travel is not practical, we build the sequence in 3D and match it to your fixture's geometry.
Can you work with footage we already have?
Sometimes. If existing footage already shows the steps clearly we can edit and finish it, and we will tell you at kickoff if it will not hold up next to the rest of your content.
Will the video match our brand and product pages?
Yes. Titles, captions, and end cards follow your brand standards, and we deliver formats sized for your website, YouTube, and rep presentations.
How many fixtures does one video cover?
One video usually covers one product family and its mounting variations. Where trims or accessories change the sequence, we show them as labeled variations rather than separate videos.
Who writes the script?
We draft it from your instructions and the questions contractors ask, then your team corrects it. You know the product; we know the order the steps need to be shown in.
